    MIT Scuba Club

    Mass Bay Divers
    We're located in Weymouth. Here is some additional information:
    * Meetings are the first Monday of the month at: South Shore Skindivers, 147 Bridge St (Route 3A), Weymouth, MA 02189
    * The club offers shore and boat diving May thru October with an annual Halloween and Christmas party
    * Guest speakers at some of the meetings
    * Annual dues are $25.00 single membership and $40.00 family with a $10.00 one time charge initiation fee per person

    Merrimack Valley Dive Club
    Our email address is chriss@mdc.net and we are located in Lowell. The Merrimack Valley Dive Club is a group of scuba diving enthusiasts based in northeastern MA and southern NH. Our charter is simply to promote safe sport diving and share the camaraderie of our fellow members. Membership is open to divers and non-divers alike, but all divers must be certified to participate in Club dives. We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Lowell Sheraton (soon to be a Doubletree Inn) on Warren St in Lowell. The MVDC Newsletter is published monthly.

    New England Aquarium Dive Club
    According to Tanya D. Salcedo: We are one of the largest and most active dive clubs anywhere in the world. Founded in 1975, we currently have over 600 members. Many of us have been diving for years, and others are newly certified. Although we are mostly sport divers, our members include marine scientists, SCUBA instructors, and experts in dive medicine. What unites us is our love of the sea, our concern for safety in diving, and our desire to learn more and to share what we know with others. NEACD meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at the New England Aquarium in Boston.

    South Shore Neptunes

  1. Aqua Tutus Diving Club
    Based in California's San Francisco Bay area, the Aqua Tooter is their newsletter. The Editor, John Walker, put the "Tooter" on-line. As another excellent example of how several dive club members can get involved in Internet publishing for their Club, John & Marilyn Walker are working in underwater video and sharing information at video diver. The Aqua Titus Diving Club offered to provide diving information for any MWDC members planning to visit the SFO area. Obviously, the MWDC will be happy to return that courtesy.   4. United Divers of New Hampshire Dive Club
    The United Divers of New Hampshire (UDNH) Dive Club was founded in 1975 to educate divers and expand the knowledge of diving in both the State of New Hampshire and in New England in general. The club also provides an informal setting for diver interaction. Club Meetings are held the first and third Mondays of each month, except for January (3nd Monday only), November (1st Monday only), and December (no meeting). They encourage potential members to attend a meeting or two to experience their club before joining. The meetings are held at the YMCA on 30 Mechanic Street in Manchester, New Hampshire (right off Elm Street). Meetings start at 7:15 PM.

    Because most of these sites are university or governmentally based, they are among the most impressive you can find anywhere. Be advised, however, if you have a slow connection to the Internet, you might want to turn off your "load images" option.
  9. Cape Cod National Seashore The US National Park Service tells all about the amphibians, birds, fish, mammals, plants, and reptiles that exist in and around the Cape Cod (Massachusetts) National Seashore.

  12. NOAA Home page for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration..... offers access to a vast on-line governmental infrastructure.
  13. Ocean Research Group Home page for the Ocean Research Group, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the conservation of the oceans and marine life through education.
